That weekend was a hilarious whirlwind of giggles, boating around Muskoka, looking at famous people’s cottages and listening to the geese sing as they flew by.

When I think about what autumn in Ontario feels like, I think of crisp, foggy mornings, golden sunlight filtering through the sunset-tinged leaves, overcast days and cozy socks and the chorus of Canadian geese singing their anthem overhead as they head south for winter.

When I scrolled past this picture in my reference photo album and remembered I had a 12x24” birch panel hanging out in my studio closet, I knew I wanted to harness some of that quiet, nostalgic fall aura. The original photo is a wide landscape shot, I cropped it and then organized the tallest tree 1/3 of the way across the scene for a pleasing adherence to the rule of 2/3rds (in my humble opinion). When I saw that there were 5 geese, I Googled what a musical group comprising five members is called and thought “Quintet” was the perfect title.

These prints come on a lovely, lightly textured, archival quality, fine art paper. The print has a 2" (~5cm) border, which collectors can choose to crop to suit their fancy, or spare themselves the requirement of a matte for a frame.

**Print sizes listed are for the actual dimensions of the artwork print itself, the paper will then include an additional 2" border to either side of the print (ex: a 6x6" print will come on a 10x10" sheet of paper).

**Prints do not come framed (email hello@hannahmichellestudios.com to inquire for framing options).

The photo referenced for this painting was curated and captured by the artist, Hannah Kilby.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0684/2839/8909/files/HMS_-_Print_Catalogue_Unframed_-_6x12_-_Quintet_274e5c42-4cfd-4973-a48b-d24825352664.png?v=1791427889
